This architectural and interiors practice offering a bespoke design and project management service to a high-net-worth client, is seeking an experienced construction Procurement Manager / Buyer to join our client-led construction management team on a substantial high-end residential project, for a 12–36-month PAYE hourly rate contract.
The successful construction Procurement Manager / Buyer will be joining 3x other White Space freelancers and a dedicated client-led construction project management team onsite in a dedicated converted coach house style studio. You will be responsible for taking ownership of day-to-day purchasing and supplier engagement across the project. This role is critical to maintaining site progress through timely procurement of materials, equipment, and trade support. The main deliverables: To ensure the site is consistently well supplied with no procurement-driven delays; ensure a strong supplier network delivering quality, reliability, and value; and ensure the procurement process is efficient, organised and commercially aligned.
White Space is seeking an experienced construction Procurement Manager / Buyer with proven experience in a construction procurement / buying position working on high-end residential or bespoke construction projects; have strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers and logistics with excellent communication and organisation skills; have commercial awareness with the ability to secure best value without compromising quality; and can operate in a fast-paced, site-driven environment.
Procurement Managers / Buyers applying must be proactive and comfortable working without the safety net of a traditional main contractor structure, be willing to work on the client site most of the week, 40 hours, and either be immediately available, or who can start within 1-2 weeks.
