Role Overview
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to take ownership of recruitment across our retail and head office functions. This is not a purely reactive role. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a consistent pipeline of high-quality talent, particularly within sales and retail, and ensuring we attract individuals who can represent the brand at the highest level.
This role requires a proactive approach to sourcing, strong judgement in assessing candidates, and the ability to partner closely with leadership to improve overall team quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Proactively identify and approach high-potential candidates within retail and sales environments
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for current and future roles
- Design and implement effective hiring processes that prioritise quality and consistency
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand team needs and improve hiring outcomes
- Lead employer branding initiatives to position Candles & Oud as an attractive place to work
- Ensure a professional and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, ideally within retail, luxury, or sales-led environments
- Strong ability to identify high-performing individuals beyond CVs
- Confident in proactive sourcing and direct candidate engagement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple roles and priorities
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
Desirable Experience
- Background in luxury retail or fragrance-related sectors
- Experience hiring for customer-facing sales roles
- Exposure to employer branding or recruitment marketing initiatives
Location and Working Style
This is a hybrid role based in London. The position will involve a combination of office work, remote working, and time spent in retail environments to support talent identification and hiring.
