GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) for a welcoming school in Thanet. In this role, you will support students with special educational needs, ensuring they thrive through personalized care and guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum effectively.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth by building positive relationships with students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education is preferred.
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with learning barriers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting.
- Understanding of various SEN conditions.
- Updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willingness to apply).
- Immediate availability to start.
