Configuration Manager

TEKsystems is currently engaged with a Global Financial Services Company to recruit a Configuration Manager to report to the Global Head of IT Service Management.

The Configuration Manager will help them develop how they describe the services they’re running and substantive the tools they’re currently using in Service Now.

• The client would like to see candidates who have experience building a function and transforming the capability of the function
• An experienced, senior configuration and asset manager who can help build out a pivotal function across the whole organisation.
• Service Asset Config Management (SACM)
• CMDB (Config Management Database)
• ServiceNow
• ITSM

Ideal candidate should have:

• Enable efficient service management operations across technology by ensuring that other teams are able to operate using central IT Configuration, Asset and Inventory systems
• Responsible for identifying and implementing efficiencies in IT Configuration, Asset and Inventory Management processes
• Responsible for provision of roadmap and plans for improvements in Configuration and Asset Management KCIs
• Lead IT management response for any audit points / risk issues relating to IT Configuration, Asset & Inventory Management

Leadership & Teamwork

• Work collaboratively with process leads for other SM areas to ensure that base data supports all SM lifecycle
• Provide clarity for all IT for where centralized services deliver where federated processes place responsibility
• Gain support for changes you propose and identify / align funding sources to make it happen
• ITSO engagement clarity on book of work
• Management of existing risk issues
• Create clarity for any extant risk including future / horizon scanning
• Identify and manage new risks / risk issues
