Game Developer (Engines) ($80 – $120/hr)
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize game environments using Panda3D and Godot engine technologies
- Script advanced physics and gameplay mechanics with Python and GDScript
- Collaborate closely with AI research teams to create training environments and integrate new AI capabilities
- Deliver modular, maintainable, and well-documented code for simulation and agent interaction
- Ensure reliability and performance of in-game systems across multiple platforms
- Contribute to the creative design and technical direction of AI-driven gameplay features
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing written and verbal updates on progress and challenges
Required Qualifications
Experience with Panda3D and/or Godot is a must have.
- Demonstrated experience developing with Panda3D and Godot engines
- Strong proficiency in Python and GDScript for scripting complex game logic and physics
- Proven ability to build, customize, and optimize real-time game environments
- Experience integrating AI models or agents within game engines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and clear documentation
- Solid understanding of game physics, environment creation, and interactive systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional team setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior involvement in AI agent projects or training environments for machine learning
- Experience with networking, multiplayer systems, or cloud-based simulation solutions
- Contributions to open-source engine projects or game development communities
