About the Role
We’re looking for a Lead Business Analyst to play a key role in driving business-led transformation across the organisation. You’ll focus on understanding business problems, shaping decisions, and ensuring the right outcomes are delivered. Whether that means improving existing processes, optimising current systems, or making the case to replace or decommission them.
You’ll act as a trusted partner to the business, helping stakeholders answer critical questions like:
- Do we really need this system?
- Can we simplify before we digitise?
- Where are we not getting value from our current tools?
What You’ll Be Doing
- Business Analysis & Insight: Work closely with stakeholders to understand challenges, goals, and opportunities; break down complex problems into clear, actionable insights; define business requirements, success measures, and expected outcomes
- Solution Evaluation & Decision-Making: Assess existing systems, processes, and tools to determine business value; recommend whether to retain, enhance, replace, or decommission solutions; present clear options, trade-offs, and evidence-based recommendations
- System Replacement & Decommissioning: Lead business analysis for systems being retired or replaced; ensure continuity of operations and minimise disruption; define how business capabilities transition into future-state models
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to simplify and streamline processes; recommend pragmatic improvements, including automation where appropriate; define future-state processes focused on business outcomes
- Change & Delivery Support: Partner with project and technology teams to ensure business needs are met; support business readiness, adoption, and value realisation; validate that delivered solutions achieve intended outcomes
Experience required
- Strong experience in business analysis within transformation
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and shape strategic decisions
- Experience with system replacement and/or decommissioning initiatives
- A pragmatic mindset, focused on value, not just solutions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas
- Comfortable working across business and technology teams
