Head of Business Development | Private Equity Fund Services

Finatal is working with a very exciting private equity fund services business looking for an experienced Business Development lead, focusing on originating and developing new client relationships across Private Equity and Real Estate Accounting, Tax, and Fund Administration.
Responsibilities
Investment Transactions
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan targeting private equity firms, real estate investors, fund managers, and related financial sponsors.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building.
- Help manage the full sales cycle, including generating the leads, discovery, solution design, proposal creation, pricing, RFP responses, and contract negotiation.
- Discover, maintain and grow relationships with key decision‑makers such as CFOs, OOs, Heads of Finance, and Fund Controllers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and aligned with operational capabilities.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to identify new service opportunities.
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
- Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and commercial insights to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Proven track record in business development or commercial roles within fund administration, private equity services, real estate services, outsourced finance, or related financial solutions.
- Strong understanding of private equity and real estate fund operations, property accounting, or financial control processes.
- Established relationships with private equity and real estate general partners, finance leaders, and investment professionals.
- Demonstrated success managing long‑cycle, multi‑stakeholder sales processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage credibly at senior levels.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and shape new commercial opportunities.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial environment.
- Familiarity with market research, competitive analysis, and commercial planning.
