Locum Veterinary Surgeon – Bridgend, South Wales
£450–£500 per day | Consult-Only | No Sole Charge | Accommodation Available
An independent, purpose-built small animal hospital in Bridgend, Wales is seeking a Locum Veterinary Surgeon for up to 3 months (immediate start available). The role is to provide extra breathing space for the permanent team and support their new graduates in a well-structured, supportive environment.
The Role
- £450–£500 per day
- 9am–6pm (9-hour shift)
- 1-hour lunch + 1-hour protected call time built in
- Consult-only
- No sole charge
- No OOH – dedicated in-house OOH and inpatient team
- Flexible payment options: Umbrella, Ltd Co or Sole Trader
- On-site accommodation available
The Practice
Well-equipped hospital facilities including:
- Separate cat, dog & exotic wards
- Cat-only consult room & bereavement room
- DR X-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy
- Dental suite with dental radiography
- Comprehensive in-house Idexx lab
- Merlin PMS
- Ample on-site parking
The Team
A diverse, close-knit team with strong clinical interests across surgery, ECC, imaging, exotics and feline medicine. As a VetGDP and nurse training practice, they place real value on mentorship, protected time and collaborative working.
