Join a supportive, well‑equipped workshop in Hyde as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician. You’ll maintain, repair and inspect a diverse fleet of HGVs and trailers to DVSA standards, using modern diagnostics and working with a friendly, professional team.
The role — HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
- Service, repair and carry out routine maintenance on HGVs, LGVs and trailers
- Diagnose and fix mechanical/electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Perform safety inspections and record findings in line with DVSA requirements
- Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and efficiency across all tasks
What you’ll bring
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Hands‑on experience in a workshop as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / LGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong technical/diagnostic skills, a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail
- HGV Class 1 or 2 licence and/or IRTEC accreditation desirable (not essential)
Pay, hours & type
Salary: £45 (Apply online only)-£50 (Apply online only)
Hours (Mon-Fri, 40 hrs): choose 06:00‑16:00 or 07:00‑17:00 or 08:00‑18:00
Flexible pattern: option to work 4 days per week
