Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm. Occasional Saturday morning. Overtime at time ½

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our growing team in Preston. This is a hands‑on role working within a busy workshop environment, maintaining and repairing a large and varied fleet of vehicles.

You’ll be joining a close‑knit workshop team and play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and fleet vehicles
• Conduct MOT preparation and inspections
• Diagnose faults and complete necessary mechanical work
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and workshop practices
• Work across a variety of vehicles including HGV, LCV, Skip wagons and Trailers

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Technician
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Experience working with commercial vehicles and trailers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
