Senior Project Manager

A leading Defence prime with offices around the U.K are looking for an experienced security cleared Project Manager to take on a hybrid role that combines traditional project management with key responsibilities within our IT Project Management Office (PMO).

The ideal candidate will stand out by having the below key skills.

• **Currently security cleared (Non-negotiable requirement)**
• Extensive project management and PMO experience within Defence, Government or Military, working on high value and wide scope projects
• Process design/management and governance experience
• Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
• Certified Project Manager (PMP, APM PMQ, MAPM or equivalent)

As the Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, controlling, and delivering complex projects within a structured governance and assurance environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and documenting business requirements to ensure robust, realistic project plans
• Managing capital and operational expenditure forecasts, supporting effective budget control
• Assessing and aligning business opportunities with organisational processes and plans
• Communicating progress, risks, and key updates to stakeholders across the business
• Monitoring schedule performance and providing insights to senior leadership
• Leading and developing teams, ensuring effective delivery aligned to governance standards
