Be the daily operations partner to Prime Finance trading desks – driving timely, controlled execution across bookings, exceptions, and workflows while improving processes and partnering with Tech, Risk, and Product. You will support the different trading desks, understand the various trading structures and flows, and work closely with the desks to ensure trading objectives are achieved with minimal adverse impact on other teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the trading desks in trade bookings, priority trade oversight, and exception management, balancing timely execution with governance and diligence.
- Act as a liaison between trading desks and wider operations teams to ensure timely query resolution.
- Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and control.
- Build and maintain relationships with technology, product development, QR, external vendors/agents, and wider operational support teams.
- Collaborate with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to promote a ‘one team’ approach.
- Ensure all controls are performed, completed, and signed off in a timely manner.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with all support teams for efficient and effective query resolution.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives across the department, continually evolving processes and business architecture.
Qualifications
- In‑depth understanding of trading structures from both financial and operational perspectives.
- Experience working closely with trading desks.
- Track record of driving change and improving processes with evidence of positive impact.
- Knowledge of front‑to‑back operations processes, including settlements, regulatory reporting, and asset servicing.
- Understanding of key elements of other infrastructure groups (Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Legal, etc.) and the impact of trade support actions on these areas.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate, explain, and challenge appropriately.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
- Team player capable of working in a pressured and changing environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with examples of prior positive outcomes.
- Strong problem‑solving, control, and project management skills.
- Strong technical skills, especially in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Understanding of supporting businesses and associated workflows.
- Experience with Alteryx / Tableau.
