We’re partnering with an innovative technology organisation in the communications space that is currently expanding its engineering team. They are looking to appoint a Senior RF Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of advanced radio systems.
This position offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, contributing to RF subsystem design, integration, and performance optimisation within complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
The role:
You will be responsible for the design and specification of RF circuitry at component and subsystem level, ensuring successful integration with wider systems such as baseband and software. The position involves hands‑on development, testing, and troubleshooting, alongside ownership of technical documentation and design validation.
You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering teams and contribute to prototyping, system integration, and resolving technical challenges as they arise.
Key responsibilities include:
- RF system design and development at component level
- Subsystem integration within larger platforms
- Performance testing, validation, and optimisation
- Technical documentation (design reports, test plans, specifications)
- Component selection and design support for PCB layout
- Troubleshooting and resolving integration issues
What we’re looking for:
- Degree-qualified in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline
- Strong background in RF design and development within a relevant industry
- Proven hands‑on experience across multiple RF domains (e.g. transmitters, receivers, power amplifiers, matching networks, EMC/EMI)
- Experience with RF simulation and test environments
- Familiarity with modern wireless technologies (e.g. cellular, short‑range, or positioning systems)
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Additional advantages:
- Experience working on regulated or standards-driven products
- Exposure to advanced RF techniques or system‑level optimisation
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment
