Rotherham (S61) Full-time / Part-time / Flexible Working Available Initial 2-3 Month Contract (Potential Extension) Day Rate / Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, global manufacturing organisation operating within the sustainable packaging sector. This business is part of an international group with operations across the UK, Europe, and North America, supplying innovative solutions into multiple industries including logistics, food, and industrial markets.
Due to continued growth and a strong focus on compliance and continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to support site and group-level audit activities on an initial contract basis.
The Role
As Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance, improving systems, and supporting operational excellence across a fast-paced production environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct internal audits across production, operational processes, and site systems
Lead and support audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
Review shopfloor practices to ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety procedures
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks within manufacturing and operational workflows
Produce clear audit reports with actionable recommendations and support corrective actions
Work closely with production teams, supervisors, and site leadership to drive improvements
Monitor adherence to documented processes, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency, waste reduction, and compliance
Requirements
Proven experience in an Internal Auditor or similar compliance role
Qualified / experienced in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 auditing (essential)
Strong understanding of audit processes, risk management, and internal controls
Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments (preferred)
Confident working within fast-paced, shopfloor-driven environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently and deliver within a contract environment
