Job Description:

We’re looking for a junior sports content producer to join our Manchester office at JOE. Someone with the ability to create viral original video content across the JOE platforms. Working as part of the sports team to ensure high standards are met and performance related KPIs are achieved. You’ll live on social media, and have an understanding of audiences and what makes a shareable and engaging video, as well as how to optimise for different platforms.

You will be producing some of the biggest videos on the internet.

Starting Salary: £25,000

Office Location: Ancoats, Manchester

Will include evening and weekend work

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Key aspects of role:

  • Regularly monitor insights using social media analysis tools, and review and report on effectiveness to maximise results
  • Create engaging original content for a mixture of platforms
  • Create content with fans at sporting events and also on the streets
  • Work as part of a team to maintain a publishing schedule for video content across the Joe Media Group sport platforms
  • Adhere to brand and community guidelines when posting content, ensuring all content is reflective of the JOE tone of voice
  • Assist in video shoots with high profile guests
  • Maintain a positive relationship with creators with effective relationship management
  • Track and organise content and results in an efficient and effective system

Skills and experience we’d like you to have:

  • A real passion for sport. Football, rugby and combat sports being key markets for us
  • Some experience of creating and editing content for social media, ideally Facebook, Instagram & TikTok
  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • Organisational skills – calm under pressure and good at planning ahead
  • Able to move quickly and easily, embracing and responding to change
  • An attention to detail
  • Photoshop / Thumbnail making skills desirable
  • Ability to use initiative and make effective decisions
  • Knowledge of media law, including copyright and consent, and ethical considerations, is also desirable
