Temporary to Permanent so ideally immediately available
Elevation HR are working with a Leeds based charity to recruit an an experienced and pragmatic HR Manager to lead and deliver a high-quality HR service across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in shaping people strategy, supporting managers, and ensuring our HR practices align with our mission, values, and regulatory requirements.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance strategic input with day-to-day operational HR responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a comprehensive HR service across the charity
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and line managers
- Oversee employee relations matters, including complex casework
- Support organisational development, culture, and engagement initiatives
- Manage and develop HR policies and procedures
- Lead on recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice
- Oversee HR systems, data, and reporting
- Manage and develop a small HR team
Experience:
- Proven experience in an HR Manager or senior HR role
- Strong generalist HR knowledge, including employee relations
- Confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders
- Experience working in a charity, public sector, or values-driven organisation (desirable, not essential)
- CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience)
- Practical, solutions-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
