HR Manager

£50,000 – £55,000

Based Leeds, hybrid

Temporary to Permanent so ideally immediately available

Elevation HR are working with a Leeds based charity to recruit an an experienced and pragmatic HR Manager to lead and deliver a high-quality HR service across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in shaping people strategy, supporting managers, and ensuring our HR practices align with our mission, values, and regulatory requirements.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance strategic input with day-to-day operational HR responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a comprehensive HR service across the charity
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and line managers
  • Oversee employee relations matters, including complex casework
  • Support organisational development, culture, and engagement initiatives
  • Manage and develop HR policies and procedures
  • Lead on recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice
  • Oversee HR systems, data, and reporting
  • Manage and develop a small HR team

Experience:

  • Proven experience in an HR Manager or senior HR role
  • Strong generalist HR knowledge, including employee relations
  • Confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in a charity, public sector, or values-driven organisation (desirable, not essential)
  • CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience)
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
