Job Title: Risk & Compliance Manager
Basic Salary: Up to £45k – £50k DOE
Location: Leeds City Centre
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2-3 days p/week in office)
I’m working with a global professional services business, who mainly service clients within the Financial Services sector, as they look to grow their Risk & Compliance team. Originally a London based business, they are now looking to expand their presence in the North and are opening a Leeds based office.
Although the business works with Financial Services clients, they are not required to be FS regulated themselves so the role is a general risk & compliance position. You’d work closely with the wider Risk, Compliance and Legal teams but you’ll mainly be responsible for the following:
- Evaluating operational, legal, financial and compliance risks affecting the business.
- Providing the business with advice in respect of developing situations (e.g. in response to geo-political events, natural disasters, etc.).
- Maintaining risk register, tracking mitigation actions, and preparing risk reports.
- Assisting in drafting and updating risk management policies and procedures, including guidance and training to individual business units.
- Draft, review, and maintain compliance policies and procedures and provide guidance on them to the business.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws across regulatory matters such as GDPR, Anti-Bribery Act, Modern Slavery Act, and health & safety requirements.
Ideally, you’ll have 3 years minimum experience in a risk & compliance capacity but there is no upper limit on the amount of experience being considered. Financial Services risk & compliance experience would be beneficial but not required.
