Driver Hire Leeds West are currently recruiting Minibus Drivers with D1 entitlement to work on a term-time basis with a well-established local authority transport provider in Leeds.This role supports essential SEN school transport and Adult Social Care transport, assisting both children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and adults with additional needs. It is a rewarding, people-focused driving role for individuals who value teamwork, reliability, and making a positive difference within the local community.The RoleAs a Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting children with SEN between their homes and schools during term time, as well as transporting adults supported by Adult Social Care to day centres, appointments, and other locations.You will provide a safe, calm, and supportive service, working closely with passenger assistants, transport coordinators, schools, and families to ensure journeys are completed professionally and on time.Typical Working PatternThe role usually consists of a morning run and an afternoon run, each lasting approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Although driving time is often less, an 8-hour shift is paid.Work patterns may vary from week to week in line with passenger requirements and route allocations, reflecting the changing needs of the service.
