UHBW Primary Care Dental Services – Band A Dental Officer (5 days, 1.0 wte). An enthusiastic and motivated dentist is required to join our well‑equipped, modern surgery located in an attractive setting. The role is permanent and full‑time, supported by senior clinicians, experienced dental nurses, an operations manager, and a clinical director.
Responsibilities
Provide high quality NHS routine care and emergency care to a diverse patient population of all ages, including those with additional needs. Duties include:
- Administering treatment using local anaesthetic and conscious sedation as appropriate to clinical needs and the dentist’s skill set.
- Conducting oral health assessments and treatments for children and adults with disability, medical status, or complex care requirements that cannot be managed by other NHS resources.
- Performing domiciliary visits and attending in‑patients in local hospitals and nursing homes.
- Travelling to up to six sites across Bristol, Bath, and Weston as required.
