We are looking for an Analyst to join our Economics, Performance & Planning directorate within the Performance & Planning Team. The team is responsible for business performance reporting, orchestration of a portfolio of business improvement initiatives and tracking delivery of our shareholder and regulatory business plans – in collaboration with the executive team.
As a Performance & Planning analyst, you will produce corporate reports in line with an agreed timetable, provide insight and improvement opportunities across a portfolio of key business initiatives and manage the central repository of performance data for the business.

Along with a competitive salary between £30,000 – £40,000, other benefits include:

Key responsibilities:
- Production of a suite of corporate reports in line with a closely managed reporting cycle.
- Track and manage performance of the business plan areas providing insight into performance gaps and developing corrective actions.
- Oversight and reporting of the portfolio of business improvement initiatives – with challenge applied as relevant.
- Undertaking of data modelling and performance analysis to provide quality insights.
- Supporting the wider Economics, Performance & Planning directorate, as and when required.
- Corporate and/or performance reporting – holding individuals and teams to account on strict deadlines.
- Great interpersonal skills, having the ability to forge strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of collecting data and performing preliminary analysis and providing insights and improvement recommendations.
- A passion and ability for the problem solving and route cause analysis.
Qualifications, skills & Experience:
- Ability to turn data into meaningful actionable insight to tell a story/assess performance and opportunities to drive improvements – this includes work on dissertations or similar projects.
- Strong analytical ability with data retrieval and manipulation – strong in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- An understanding of UK energy regulation, price reviews and regulatory frameworks in the energy sector.
- Experience of business performance reporting – up to and including executive & C suite. xwzovoh
