About Keele SU
Keele University Students’ Union (Keele SU) exists to empower every student to be who they want to be and make a difference to the world. We support, represent and enhance the experience of around 14,000 students at Keele University, delivering a wide range of services including representation, activities, advice, wellbeing support and a vibrant programme of events. We are a £6.6m turnover registered charity, supported by a trading subsidiary and a diverse commercial portfolio that includes a Co‑op franchise, bars, entertainment spaces and catering outlets. Guided by our 2025‑2028 strategic plan, we are focused on preparing students for life beyond university, building a strong sense of community and belonging and supporting students through the challenges they face.
This is a pivotal moment for Keele SU. Following the appointment of a new Chief Executive in 2024, the organisation is strengthening its governance, refining its operating model and embedding greater financial discipline. At the same time, we are progressing plans to refurbish key venue and commercial spaces, creating opportunities for growth and improved student engagement. We aim to build a resilient, sustainable organisation that can continue to deliver impact for students now and in the future.
