Rate – up to £370 umbrella

Data Privacy Management

Privacy office exposure, Privacy laws (e.g., PECR, GDPR, ICO, DUAA), Identifying and prioritising data risks, Identifying and delivering process improvements, Stakeholder management, Presenting and communicating technical data to non-technical customers

Working with a global banking client to secure the service of a Data Privacy Management contractor to be based in any of the following locations Sheffield, Birmingham, Leeds or Chester. Hybrid working with 3 days a week in the office.

This role sits within the UK Chief Data and Analytics Office which is responsible for data risk and control management, delivering the data platform strategy, delivering data and analytics products and AI for the UK Business.

You will be accountable for streamlining Data privacy operations and minimising work duplication. This role focuses on mitigating risks related to customer data breaches and other privacy concerns, ensuring compliance with Global Data Management Policies, ultimately enhancing customer trust and the value of data.

In this role, you will:

• Provide subject matter expertise on data privacy and protection laws to stakeholders, utilising the mandatory data controls and communicating data risk policies.
• Oversee DataVisa operations, helping to ensure user proficiency and accurate case input.
• Proactively identify data privacy risks, issues, and control gaps, agreeing on action plans for timely mitigation and escalating where appropriate.
• Support the development and implementation of data privacy controls ensuring compliance across global business requirements.
• Stay informed on legislative requirements, conduct gap analysis, and assist remedial work programmes.
• Enhance awareness of GDPR and other evolving Data Privacy regulations for UK Business
• Facilitate collaboration and communication to engage stakeholders.
• Foster an inclusive environment promoting growth and empowerment, embedding a 'speak up' culture.
• Develop training and educational materials.
