Classroom Assistant – Cheltenham

Primary Mainstream School, September Start, Full‑time (8:30‑3:30), Salary £90,000‑£105,000 (depending on experience). Requires an enhanced DBS licence (or willingness to apply).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Classroom Assistant to support our students and teachers in Cheltenham.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons.
• Provide targeted support to students, both individually and in small groups, especially those with special educational needs (SEN).
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere that allows all students to excel.
• Support in maintaining a well‑organised and safe classroom environment.

This role involves helping with lesson preparation, supporting students in their learning, and assisting the teacher with classroom management. We look for someone patient, approachable, and genuinely dedicated to helping students succeed.
