Overview

Are you a strategic communicator who combines creative thinking with technical expertise? We’re looking for someone to lead how RBC engages with its people across Europe. You’ll develop and manage our digital channels such as intranet, email and emerging technologies. Working with your communications colleagues and the business, you will be responsible for sourcing and publishing internal news. This fast-paced role offers the chance to drive meaningful employee engagement through data-informed design and content, while building strong relationships across our organisation. This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a digital communications strategy for RBC Wealth Management Europe (WME) and RBC Europe that aligns with business priorities and enhances the user experience.
  • Lead digital components of large-scale business or culture initiatives, campaigns and events that span RBC in the region.
  • Set the vision for the WME intranet and other digital channels (email/screens/video/podcasts) as compelling, intuitive and valuable employee channels, ensuring content is easy to find, relevant and engaging.
  • Own the day-to-day operation of the WME intranet platform, including configuration, permissions, integrations and performance.
  • Act as the bridge between IT, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure technical requirements align with user needs.
  • Understand and manage platform capabilities, limitations and roadmaps, translating technical concepts into practical solutions.
  • Oversee enhancements, upgrades and issue resolution, prioritising work based on business impact.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of activities, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing tactics in response.

Qualifications

Must-have

  • Senior-level experience developing and executing digital communications strategies and managing multi-channel campaigns, with measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing vendor management lifecycles, from RFP conception through contract negotiation and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Deep experience of Google Analytics and email tools as well as intranet hosting and infrastructure platforms.
  • Strong understanding of CMS, CSS, HTML, WYSIWYG editors.
  • Comfort learning digital platforms and technical concepts.
  • Experience with analytics tools, data interpretation and using insights to drive decisions.
  • Strong stakeholdering abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player and relationship builder.
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented, strong project management knowledge and time management capabilities.

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge or membership of IOIC (Institute of Internal Communications) preferred.
