Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative, and friendly team dedicated to improving ward-based clinical pharmacy services. You will provide a high-quality clinical pharmacy service to the Emergency Department and Admissions wards as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control drug use within Emergency and Acute Medicine; lead on strategic development of pharmacy clinical and ward-based services.
- Lead on reducing risks associated with medicines within Emergency and Admissions wards.
- Combine expert opinion and practice at the bedside to benefit patient care; work with the multidisciplinary team to implement, deliver and continually improve medicines management.
- Optimize medicines prescribed on admission, make timely pharmaceutical interventions and facilitate rapid discharge to support high-quality patient outcomes while ensuring patient safety.
- Develop management experience and specialise in Emergency and Acute Medicine; communicate effectively and manage time in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Post-registration hospital pharmacy experience and a Postgraduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification are required.
