End User Computing (EUC) Engineer

MCS Group is looking for an experienced EUC Engineer for a temporary position with a global MSP in Belfast. This EUC Engineer will join on a 1 month temporary contract, and will manage the technology relied on daily by employees- ensuring systems are secure, up-to-date, and optimised to drive productivity. This EUC Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting EUC platforms, while also working closely with clients to deliver secure, high-performing end-user environments. The Role Manage and support EUC environments including desktops, laptops, VDI, and mobile devices Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements and provide tailored technical solutions Lead implementation and support of email and web security platforms. Configure, manage, and optimise Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments Administer Identity & Access Management (IAM) and endpoint/device management solutions Implement and support Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platforms Support endpoint security tools including EDR, MDR, and XDR Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure endpoint compliance Work within a ticketing system, maintaining high-quality documentation and updates The Person Strong EUC / desktop engineering background with escalation-level troubleshooting experience Hands-on expertise with: Microsoft Intune (MDM, policy creation, device management) Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Advanced Microsoft 365 (security, administration, migration) Azure infrastructure (performance, security, cost optimisation) DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy Patch management, software packaging, modern device deployment RMM tools (NinjaOne preferred) Experience with email security & web filtering tools (e.g. Proofpoint, Mimecast, Umbrella) Strong understanding of email protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) Knowledge of endpoint security technologies (Defender, EDR/XDR) Self-sufficient problem solver with end-to-end ownership of issues Strong communication skills, comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders Flexible and willing to support out-of-hours work, on-call rotations, and project-based delivery Salary: Circa £40k – £45k equivalent (paid as rate per hour for duration of position) Duration: 4 weeks initially, potential extension.
