Business Development Manager | HealthTech | Public Sector Focus

Location: UK, home-based with regional travel

The Opportunity

A high-growth healthtech business is building out its commercial function and is looking for a Business Development Director to take full ownership of a defined UK territory.

This is a genuine build role. You will shape regional strategy, create pipeline from scratch, and drive revenue across NHS organisations, Local Authorities, and VCSEs.

The product sits at the intersection of healthcare delivery and software, helping providers improve outcomes, efficiency, and patient experience. Strong traction already, now scaling commercially.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and deliver revenue targets across your territory
  • Build and execute a regional GTM plan from first principles
  • Generate pipeline through outbound activity, partnerships, and events
  • Manage full sales cycle from first contact through to close
  • Navigate complex public sector procurement routes and frameworks
  • Sell consultatively, aligning solutions to clinical and operational pain points
  • Engage senior stakeholders across NHS and Local Authority structures
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product and delivery teams
  • Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts

What They’re Looking For

  • Proven background in healthtech sales, selling into NHS or UK public sector
  • Strong solution selling capability, able to diagnose and shape customer problems
  • Track record of closing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals
  • Experience navigating procurement frameworks and funding structures
  • Comfortable operating in a build environment with high autonomy
  • Ability to engage C‑level and senior clinical stakeholders
  • Hunter mentality with the ability to close
