Responsibilities
- Responsible for input into the development and implementation of the data quality and reporting strategy as well as remediation strategies.
- Responsible for monitoring all operational efforts to remediate data across business units.
- Ensures consistency of use of the data quality artefacts across the relevant business units.
Qualifications
- First Degree in Information Technology or related studies.
- 3‑4 years of data management experience with knowledge of data quality.
- An understanding of data quality management relating to financial services data.
- 3‑4 years knowledge of systems and data principles that form the basis for data quality management.
- Project management experience as well as exposure to governance and regulatory matters as they relate to data.
Essential Outputs
- Assist in enforcing and embedding approved governance principles and policies.
- Escalate any data element governance violations.
- Participate in and adhere to IT Production change governance requirements.
- Develop data quality monitoring dashboards.
- Enable extraction of data from disparate systems for profiling and comparison.
- Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly profiling is fully automated in the chosen toolsets.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting as it relates to data remediation efforts.
- Execute against the defined data standards and business rules for data capture and usage and manage them in partnership with Data Stewards and business stakeholders.
- Execute against the defined governance process to manage the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of these business rules.
