Job Description
Due to internal mobility, we are offering a 9‑month fixed‑term opportunity for a Senior Compensation Analyst. This position can be based in our St. Albans or Manchester office. You will be required to attend the office once per week, with the remainder of the week working from home.
The ideal start date is the end of April to allow for a smooth handover. Interviews will be conducted via MS Teams.
Reporting into the Compensation Manager, Europe, the role is dedicated to delivering first‑rate support and service to our HR Partners, Stakeholders and Employees across the Europe Region. Total Reward Europe partners with stakeholders to develop and deliver a best‑in‑class Total Reward Program to attract, develop and retain our best employees. The Senior Compensation Analyst, Europe will take a leading role for the region in cyclical compensation processes and special projects, consulting with key stakeholders to provide guidance, analysis, and to develop solutions to business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Analysis & Modelling
- Produce data analysis requirements for annual pay and bonus reviews, budget planning, and other processes, including TUPE and acquisitions.
- Provide analytical insights and modelling for periodic and bespoke requests.
Business Partnering & Advisory
- Partner with HR to provide guidance and direction on compensation processes and proposals, benchmarking requests, and recommendations on adjustments and promotions.
- Partner with business areas to understand their Reward concerns and provide solutions.
Reward Projects & Process Improvement
- Collaborate with and support the global delivery team on special projects.
- Support ongoing efforts to drive improvements and reduce complexity in core compensation processes.
Compliance, Reporting & Pay Equity
- Collaborate with HR and Communications teams on equal pay matters, Gender Pay Gap reporting, and delivery of the European Pay Transparency Directive.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Create and deliver training and/or educational materials to increase understanding of the company’s compensation philosophy.
Technical Expertise & Team Support
- Serve as the technical specialist for the compensation group.
- Flexibly support management of the Reward inbox and the wider Total Reward team as required.
Qualifications
- Independent Working & Initiative – Able to manage assignments autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating sound judgement and attention to detail.
- Compensation Expertise – Proven capability of designing, planning, and delivering compensation consultation across complex and large‑scale environments; experience supporting salary and bonus review cycles is advantageous.
- Analytical Thinking – Intuitive and data‑driven approach to problem‑solving and day‑to‑day decision‑making.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement – Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels in a professional and approachable manner.
- Customer Focus – Proactive, helpful, and service‑oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer care.
- Continuous Improvement – Demonstrates initiative in identifying and driving process improvements and efficiencies.
- Delivery & Time Management – Proven ability to work under pressure and consistently meet challenging deadlines.
