c£60,000 but with uncapped commission, profit share & an outstanding package Remote with UK travel (periodic visits to Cheshire head office & R&D functions)

They are seeking a Sales Account Manager with both entrepreneurial energy and technical curiosity, someone who can translate customer challenges into breakthrough solutions, and who sees the enormous potential of a market that is rapidly moving beyond plastic. A newly-created, customer-facing sales and account management position responsible for generating new business growth and further developing existing relationships in line with short, medium, and long-term strategic plans. The focus is on exploiting newly installed operational coating capability for both new and existing customers.

The appointee will take a high degree of autonomy in the management, development and leadership of their key markets, but with the full support of the Board and technology functions across this global business.

The successful candidate will design, develop and implement clear strategies to profitably expand the sales in their markets, and beyond. They will be tasked with the management of new and existing customers to achieve the agreed profitability and sales targets as well as the on-going performance.

The appointee will be on a set succession planning strategy to broaden their role and see it develop. Deliver planned sales growth in markets requiring advanced coatings and production methods. Project-manage new business development activity in specific designated areas. Planning and delivering results. Commercial awareness. Building effective working relationships, internally and externally.

Suitable candidates will be experienced Sales Professionals with demonstrable commercial and operations capability. They will crucially have had commercial (and sales) exposure within broadly relevant technology/scientifically led products, and/or sustainable sectors.

The appointee will have worked within in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, commercial environment. They will have designed commercial sales and business development strategies, worked closely with operations and technical teams in designing solutions and have had success in doing to.

The successful candidate will have had extensive experience of controlling the entire sales cycle, and doing so with high levels of autonomy and commerciality.

Suitable candidates will already be high achieving, experienced BD/Sales/Account Managers with a track record of personal success. They will possess a strong ethos in supreme service delivery, customer engagement and a background in creating and managing a culture of success. Strong networking skills and direct sales experience with accounts of £100k+. Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, comfortable working remotely. Balances long-term strategic goals with immediate priorities. Demonstrates broad commercial and operational awareness through experience or study. Flexibility to travel in line with new customer and market needs.

Demonstrable experience in international technological product sales, account management or business development. Background in specialist coating markets. Knowledge of coating, laminating, paper, synthetics, printing and conversion. Recognised sales and or project management training

Project management and problem-solving skills. High motivation with a performance-driven mindset. Financial and technical interpretation, analytical and business-modelling skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Understanding of coating operational technologies such as curtain and slot bead.
