We have a brand-new opportunity for a Director to join our team in Scotland. Our office was established in 2016 to provide a local presence on our projects. It now houses an abundance of key sector expertise and knowledge that supports projects across the UK. The recent opening of our Edinburgh office represents our desire to forge even stronger relationships with our clients in Scotland, by providing a local presence for our East Coast-based projects.

As a Director, you will be thinking long term; establishing, planning and implementing the strategy for delivering future work. You’ll also be accountable for large-scale/complex and high-risk projects, setting out expectations, and empowering others to manage and deliver projects, ensuring client needs are met.

You will be exerting a positive influence on the performance of your business area, leading by example and inspiring others to perform at their best.

Support other Directors in developing client relationships in new or existing business sectors Develop leadership and support relevant directors in strategic direction of the business Lead, coordinate and agree appointments in conjunction with Risk Management Group Plan, lead and manage medium/large scale projects within the office Accountable for communicating, coordinating and managing resources to ensure successful delivery of projects Accountable for achieving financial targets within your area of the business or projects Be accountable for the financial management, invoicing, debtor chasing, fee variations and final account settlement on projects under your direction Provide expert technical support as part of project joint ventures within the firm Mentor and support our ‘next gen’ professionals.

Excellent written and spoken English skills Excellent organisational and planning skills to effectively work to timescales and deadlines Extensive industry experience (in either a consultancy and/or contracting background) To provide a lead role in an integrated project design team with other construction professionals. Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/collaborators in a design-oriented role. Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence. From there, successful candidates will be invited to attend a panel interview, either via Microsoft Teams or in person at one of our offices.
