About the Role
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Driving Centre is a collaborative partnership with Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service (based in Slade Park Fire Station, with work required throughout Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire), you will be managing a team delivering driver training for all different types of vehicles and specialist equipment used by both of the services.
About you
To be successful in this role you need to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, enjoy working with people and have a proactive approach to driver training for emergency response drivers. You should have the ability and be able to display that you can manage your own workloads and prioritise task.
For this role you will require a full driving licence for categories B, C1 and C, hold a suitable NFCC ERDT Instructor qualification and be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English A-C or equivalent. Your will need good IT skills and be competent with Microsoft Office applications.
Within in this role you will need the ability to work unsupervised and be aware of your own responsibilities with regards to Health and Safety. You need to have a positive and flexible approach to all duties asked of you.

Face to face Interviews will be held on the 26th June 2026
The interview will consist of an assessment of your driving and teaching ability a series of questions and a short presentation.
Appointment is conditional upon undertaking an Standard DBS check.
Anticipated start pending pre-employment checks (DBS and references).
