About you:
- Fully qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CCAB) with current membership
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Proven experience working within resource-limited or not-for-profit settings
- Strong IT proficiency, especially with financial systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting abilities
- Commercial acumen with the capacity to interpret key financial drivers
- Effective communicator able to present complex data to non-financial audiences
- Motivational leader capable of coaching and inspiring team members
- Problem solver with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Organised, structured, and capable of managing multiple priorities
What you'll do:
- Lead and develop the finance team to deliver accurate and timely financial services
- Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and statutory compliance
- Support strategic decision-making through insightful analysis and scenario planning
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Maintain robust financial controls, systems, and checks to ensure operational excellence
- Actively manage investments and cash flow to optimise financial returns
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Lead the external audit process while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide strategic input on major projects, highlighting financial impacts and risks
- Uphold the organisation's governance standards, risk management, and internal policies
