Title: Senior / Principal Process Engineer

We are working with a technology-focused company operating in the environmental sector. They provide engineered solutions that support industrial and public sector clients in meeting regulatory requirements and improving operational performance.
The business develops and delivers modular, systems-based technologies used in complex operational environments. It is a fast-growing organisation with a strong focus on innovation, delivery, and real-world application.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead technical interface for customers across industrial and municipal projects
- Support business development teams with technical input for proposals, bids, and client solutions
- Lead process engineering input across design, installation, commissioning, and optimisation phases
- Oversee performance monitoring of treatment systems, analysing influent/effluent data to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Troubleshoot live operational issues on-site and implement process improvements
- Produce technical reports, validation documents, and process performance documentation
- Work closely with contractors, OEMs, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Provide hands-on engineering support during commissioning and system ramp-up phases
Qualifications & Experience:
We are open to strong process engineers from a range of industries—not limited to water.
We are particularly interested in engineers with experience in:
- Process engineering within industrial environments (water, wastewater, chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, energy, or manufacturing)
- Designing or operating systems involving fluid handling, separation, or filtration processes
- Commissioning and troubleshooting engineering systems in live operational environments
- Strong understanding of process fundamentals such as mass balance, fluid dynamics, and separation technologies
- Experience working with equipment such as pumps, tanks, scrubbers, filters, or separation systems
- Client-facing or site-based engineering experience
Desirable:
- Experience with industrial effluent, wastewater treatment, or environmental systems
- Exposure to filtration, coagulation, or separation technologies
- Experience supporting technical bids or proposals
- Strong reporting and stakeholder communication skills
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent chemical/process engineering qualification
