Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the service strategy aligned to business growth
• Build and scale a national service infrastructure, including field engineers and partner networks
• Lead installation support, commissioning, maintenance and aftersales delivery
• Drive service revenue through contracts, upgrades and lifecycle support
• Improve customer experience, response times, and first-time fix rates
• Develop systems, processes, and reporting to support a scalable operation
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing service team
• Work closely with sales, product, and operations to ensure aligned delivery
• Manage budgets, margins, and overall commercial performance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Requirements
• Proven senior leadership experience within service or aftersales, ideally in heating, HVAC, renewables, or a related engineering sector
• Strong understanding of heat pump technology or transferable experience from adjacent markets
• Track record of building and scaling field service operations
• Experience of driving service as a profit centre, not just a cost base
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, quality, and growth
• Experience managing engineers, partners, and third-party networks
• Excellent leadership presence with the ability to influence at board level
• A blend of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery
