SVP - Derivatives/Rates

Overview

Senior derivatives lawyer to join a legal team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer experienced in a wide variety of products across both derivatives and cash. The successful candidate could come from any of a general financing, SFT, or derivative background, but must be able and willing to cover all relevant areas. They will be expected to demonstrate and develop experience and understanding of complex financing structures (including derivatives and note issuance), as well as other complex structures such as Islamic financing. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert for the Rates cash and derivatives businesses, monitoring complex issues that arise and escalating where necessary to work with Legal seniors to drive solutions and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for the Rates cash and derivatives businesses.
• Monitor complex issues and escalate where necessary to drive solutions and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Legal seniors to develop and implement solutions across complex financing structures, including derivatives and note issuance.

Qualifications

• Senior derivatives lawyer with experience across derivatives and cash products.
• Background in general financing, securities financing transactions (SFT), or derivatives, with ability to cover all relevant areas.
• Willingness to develop understanding of complex financing structures (including derivatives, note issuance) and Islamic financing.
• Experience supporting Rates business across linear and non-linear derivatives.
