Power BI and Data Analyst

BI & Data Analyst – 6‑Month Contract (Outside IR35)

Retail | Power BI | SQL | DAX | Reporting‑Led

We’re supporting a well established retail business looking for an experienced BI & Data Analyst to join on an initial 6‑month contract, outside IR35.

This is a hands‑on reporting role, focused on turning complex commercial and operational data into clear, well designed Power BI reports that senior stakeholders actually use.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and enhancing production‑ready Power BI reports and dashboards
• Writing clean, efficient SQL to extract and shape data.
• Developing robust DAX measures for commercial KPIs (revenue, margin, performance).
• Producing clear, intuitive reports for non‑technical stakeholders across Finance, Sales and Operations.
• Improving existing dashboards, definitions and reporting logic.
• Supporting a move towards self‑serve reporting and reduced ad‑hoc requests.

What we’re looking for

• Strong Power BI experience (reporting & visual best practice).
• Proven SQL and DAX capability.
• Someone who enjoys report writing as well as data modelling.
• Comfortable working with real‑world, imperfect data.
• Confident engaging with Finance and Commercial teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP data (NetSuite, D365, Unit 4 or similar).
• Retail, FMCG or multi‑channel environments.
