We’re working with a well‑established and growing principal contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across South England. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects across the Bristol region.
This is a key leadership role within the business, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest commercial and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing multiple projects simultaneously from pre‑construction through to handover
- Managing and supporting Project Managers and site teams
- Ensuring programme, quality, and health & safety standards are maintained
- Monitoring commercial performance alongside the commercial team
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Leading progress meetings and reporting to senior leadership
- Managing risk, compliance, and overall delivery strategy
- Supporting bid and pre‑construction activity where required
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Project Manager ready to step up) within a main contracting environment. You will be commercially aware, process‑driven, and confident managing multiple schemes across varying sectors.
Experience delivering projects in the £10m-£40m range is preferred, with a strong understanding of regional market conditions in South England.
