Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Scrum Master to be the agile leader and performance coach for our engineering development teams. In this role, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and predictable delivery. You will be the hands‑on partner to your teams, empowering them to deliver high‑quality, valuable software while fostering an environment where they can do their best work. If you are passionate about building teams that are both happy and high‑performing, and you thrive on guiding people to achieve tangible results, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Empower the team to run their own team ceremonies by providing the necessary support, tools, and guidance. Acting as a supportive figure to ensure meetings become team‑led, productive, and value‑driven.
  • Ensure the team is engaging, productive, and focused on delivering value.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert on lean and agile principles, ensuring the team develops, owns, and refines an effective process that consistently delivers value based on the chosen frameworks’ principles and practices.
  • Promote transparency by maintaining clear reporting and visible Agile dashboards (e.g., burn‑down charts, flow metrics), making the team’s progress and challenges understood by all.
  • Coach the team towards greater self‑organization, cross‑functional collaboration, and a strong sense of ownership for their outcomes.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, guiding the team to use metrics to identify and solve bottlenecks or delays in their workflow.
  • Partner closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is healthy, well‑groomed, and prioritised to deliver maximum business value.
  • Proactively identify, track, and relentlessly remove impediments and risks that are impacting the team’s progress, protecting their flow and productivity.
  • Act as a key collaborative partner to the Agile Delivery Manager (ADM), providing on‑the‑ground visibility into team‑level risks and working together to resolve systemic, domain‑level blockers.
  • Facilitate productive communication and collaboration between the team and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear expectations.

Your Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment, with a track record of improving team performance and health.
  • Deep Agile Knowledge: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification is required. You have a deep understanding of the principles behind Scrum, Kanban, and other agile methodologies, and you know when and how to apply them to get results.
  • A Coach’s Mindset: You don’t just facilitate; you coach. You have demonstrable experience mentoring teams and individuals to foster self‑organization and a growth mindset. You are an empathetic listener and a powerful question‑asker.
  • Data‑Driven Facilitator: You are comfortable using agile metrics not as a report card, but as a tool to help teams have insightful conversations and drive their own improvement.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You have excellent moderation, facilitation, and conflict‑resolution skills. You can communicate complex topics clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences, from engineering teams to stakeholders.
  • Technical Fluency: You are proficient with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
