Join our dedicated team in Leeds City as a Senior Qualified Social Worker (QSW) within the Children Looked After (CLA) Team, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. As a Senior QSW, your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out assessments and developing care plans to meet the needs of children in care.
- Providing expert advice and support to social work staff and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.
- Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and high-quality service delivery.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working within a children’s social care setting, particularly with looked-after children.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
