Key Responsibilities
As a School Caretaker, your responsibilities may include:
- Day-to-day site maintenance and minor repairs
- Opening and securing school premises
- Carrying out health and safety checks and compliance tasks
- Managing contractors, keys, alarms, and deliveries
- Maintaining cleanliness, security, and school grounds
- Supporting with room setups and school events
- Completing COSHH and risk assessments
- Acting as a key holder and point of contact on site
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Proven experience as a School Caretaker or Site Manager
- Previous experience working within schools or education settings
- Relevant caretaking or facilities qualifications
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
- COSHH training
- The ability to work independently and proactively
- A current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
