Market Data Procurement Admin Consultant

Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking an experienced Sourcing & Market Data Consultant to join their procurement function on a 12-month maternity cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven professional to play a key role in delivering sourcing strategies and leveraging market intelligence to drive informed decision-making and value across the business.

The Role

Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering sourcing initiatives, alongside providing data-led insights into market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the development and execution of sourcing strategies across key categories
• Leading or supporting RFx processes, including supplier engagement and negotiations
• Analysing market trends, pricing benchmarks, and supplier landscapes
• Translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
• Identifying cost-saving and value optimisation opportunities
• Partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide strategic recommendations
• Supporting supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management
• Producing regular reports on sourcing activity, savings, and market intelligence

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience in sourcing, procurement, or market intelligence
• Strong analytical capability with experience working with data and insights
• Experience running sourcing events and supporting negotiations
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A commercial mindset with the ability to influence decision-making
