Senior Project Manager – Building Services roles and responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mechanical & electrical (M&E) services across a major refurbishment project.

• Oversee building services teams, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on time, and within budget.

• Coordinate with commercial teams on cost control, value engineering, and subcontractor management.

• Review technical submissions, manage commissioning processes, and ensure successful project handover.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and supply chain partners.

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to internal building services teams.

Senior Project Manager – Building Services requirements

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

• Strong experience delivering large-scale M&E packages (typically £30m+).

• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills within a main contractor environment.

• Solid understanding of construction processes, design management, and project delivery.

• Professional membership (CIOB, RICS, CIBSE or similar) desirable.

• Experience in high-spec commercial projects (e.g. BREEAM, NABERS) is advantageous.
