Overview
We are working with a well-established, Legal 500 ranked law firm based in Manchester, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their Dispute Resolution (DR) team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong academic credentials, particularly at A-level, who is looking to build a career in litigation within a supportive and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of small claims matters from inception to resolution under supervision
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms
- Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties in a professional manner
- Assisting fee earners on more complex, higher-value disputes as required
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records
- Supporting the wider Dispute Resolution team with administrative and procedural tasks
Requirements
- Strong A-level results (essential)
- A law degree or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrable interest in litigation and dispute resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn
Desirable Experience
- Previous paralegal or legal work experience (particularly in litigation)
- Familiarity with small claims processes and court procedures
