- Produce detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks for new and modified hydraulic and mechanical tools
- Translate client requirements and operational briefs into robust, fit-for-purpose engineering designs
- Carry out design calculations to verify structural integrity, load capacity, sealing performance, and pressure ratings appropriate to energy industry applications
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawing registers, and associated technical documentation
- Work with the workshop team and external fabricators/manufacturers to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards
- Support the procurement of components and materials, including liaison with suppliers on lead times and specifications
- Conduct design reviews and contribute to FMEA, risk assessments, and design validation activities
- Support the testing and commissioning of new tools, identifying and resolving any design issues arising during build and test phases
