Audio Typist – Conveyancing | Dartford (DA1) | £24k – £28k | office-based

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Audio Typist to join a busy and supportive Conveyancing team based in Dartford. This is a fantastic chance to become part of a well-established firm, where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of a high-volume department.

Working closely with fee earners, you will provide essential administrative and secretarial support, handling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position would suit someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys working as part of a team, and is keen to develop their career within a legal setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital dictation and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients via telephone in a professional and friendly manner
  • Conducting Land Registry searches
  • Opening and closing client files in line with procedures
  • Managing diaries and arranging client appointments
  • General administrative support including photocopying and email management

About You

  • A Legal Secretary from any legal background with a minimum of 6 months’ experience (full conveyancing training provided)
  • Alternatively, a candidate who has completed Legal Secretary qualifications and is seeking their first legal role
  • Strong IT and typing skills with good attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
  • A team player with strong communication skills
