Occupational Therapists & Senior Occupational Therapists – Reablement Team (Locum)
East London
Locum, Full-Time preferred, part time will be considered
We are currently partnering with a Local Authority in London to recruit a team of Occupational Therapists and Senior Occupational Therapists for an exciting Reablement project.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a focused initiative aimed at supporting individuals to regain independence and remain safely within their own homes.
The Opportunity
You will join a dedicated Reablement Service, working as part of a project team to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions. These roles are ideal for OTs who enjoy hands-on work and making a direct impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete functional assessments to support reablement goals
- Develop and implement rehabilitation plans to maximise independence
- Work closely with reablement staff, carers, and wider multidisciplinary teams
- Recommend and arrange equipment and adaptations where appropriate
- Support safe and timely hospital discharges (where applicable)
For Senior Occupational Therapists:
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff
- Support service delivery and ensure high standards of practice
- Assist with complex cases and decision-making
Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant registration
- Experience in reablement, community, or adult social care settings
- Strong assessment and care planning skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Senior roles require:
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory OT position
- Confidence managing complex cases and supporting a team
