Commercial Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a highly reputable tier 1 main contractor on a major scheme in Devizes. The business is one of the largest privately owned contractors in the UK, and undertakes projects valuing between £20mil – £100mil+. Projects are across a range of sectors including education, commercial, student accommodation and MOJ.

They’re currently undertaking a £120mil MOJ project near Devizes which has been live on site since the start of the year and are now looking for a Commercial Manager to oversee the scheme.

About the role of Commercial Manager:

As Commercial Manager, you will be overseeing the project commercially and will be responsible for managing a team of Surveyors on the project ranging from Graduates to Senior Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities as Commercial Manager:

  • Oversee all procurement
  • Liaise with client and client representative teams
  • Commercial reporting to Directors
  • Manage / mentor commercial members of staff through 1:1s and appraisals

Key Requirements for this Commercial Manager role:

  • Experience leading sizeable schemes as commercial lead
  • Experience working with public sector clients
  • Proven track record of developing surveying teams
  • Experience administering NEC form of contract is beneficial but not essential
