About the role
We’re looking for a Midweight Designer to join our team at Phunk. You’ll work across branding, digital and print projects for clients in the UK and globally. This role carries more responsibility than a junior position — you’ll lead smaller projects, work directly with clients, and bring strong creative judgment to everything you deliver.
What you’ll do
• Lead design on branding projects, packaging, brochures and marketing collateral.
• Design UI/UX layouts in Figma with a solid understanding of auto-layout, components and design systems.
• Present work to clients confidently and manage feedback directly.
• Art direct smaller projects and support senior creatives on larger ones.
• Produce clean, considered work across Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Figma.
• Prepare files for print and digital delivery to a high standard.
What you need
• 3–5 years of design experience — agency, in-house or freelance.
• A strong portfolio showing range across branding, digital and print.
• Confident working directly with clients — presenting, handling feedback, owning the relationship.
• Advanced Figma skills including auto-layout, components, prototyping and design systems.
• Strong Adobe Suite skills (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• A sharp eye for layout, typography and detail.
• Ability to manage your own workload and push projects forward.
Helpful but not required
• A degree in graphic design, digital design or a related field.
• Webflow experience (building or maintaining sites).
• Motion design skills (After Effects, Lottie).
• Basic HTML/CSS awareness.
• Experience with Webflow CMS and interactions.
• Print production or pre-press experience.
Working hours + location
• Full-time, Monday to Thursday 09:00–17:00, Friday 09:00–16:00.
• Based in our Saltaire office most of the week, with flexibility to work from home when needed.
• Standard 3-month probation period.
