In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in building and nurturing strong customer relationships to maximise sales opportunities and drive business growth. You will bring proven experience in sales, ideally with exposure to a broad and diverse customer base, and thrive as part of a collaborative, high-performing team. You will play a key part in both developing new business and maximising opportunities within the existing customer portfolio. This will involve proactive engagement through phone, email, and in-person interactions, including site visits and hosting client meetings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of rural life, possess excellent communication skills across all levels, and exhibit strong organisation, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Role Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and effectively to all sales enquiries from both new and existing customers
- Serve as the primary account manager for an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring excellent service and support
- Develop, strengthen, and maintain lasting relationships with current and prospective customers
- Prepare and present weekly reports to the management team covering sales performance, quotations, orders, and tender activity
- Proactively promote the company’s full range of products through participation in trade shows, site visits, and exhibitions
Skills you will need:
Essential:
- Proven experience in B2B and B2C sales
- Previous experience in account management
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine interest in the environment, forestry, and horticulture
- Confident with numbers and reporting on financials
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
- A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail
- The ability to work cohesively with the team
- Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
